Pancakes and Bacon over a Fire
Our morning started with a special camp fire breakfast. Zim, Hippo, and a girl from Ireland (whose name I always seem to forget!) helped the girls make fruit salad and pancake batter.
Then it was time to do the dishes (the girls ran around with plates in their hands to dry them!), clean up the camp and pack our things.
Arts and Crafts
The girls took a long hike to the Arts and Crafts cabin. They had several projects to choose from. Hopefully you enjoyed their creativity.
Ropes Course/Team Building
This was where the girls really shined. The ropes course is designed to promote team work, problem solving, and critical thinking. These girls had it! They had a lot of fun along the way too.
Passing a Hula Hoop around a circle.
The Human Knot! The girls knotted themselves up and then had to try to work together to untangle themselves.
Here the girls had to try to find a way to stand on a small platform at the same time. It took many tries and a few tumbles but they did it!
The Spiderweb game. Each girl had to crawl through the spiderweb without touching it. Once a girl went through one section of the web, none of the rest could use it.
Hugging Einstein!
Learning to spot one another which came in handy as we moved on to a lot of tight rope walking.
Learning more teamwork tips so they could walk together across the ropes.
Sarah and Kjirstin might have set a new record!
Madelyn and Sophia tried a few ways (hugging, hand holding) before they figured it out.
And onto the Alligator pit! The girls had to swing from one platform to the other while making sure the person behind them got the rope back. This seemed to be their favorite.
